Tamer steward

Every tame you own, on one list.

Hjarðmaðr, the tamer steward, lists your tames anywhere in the world, finds the lost ones, sets breeding for each kind and sends them to pasture. Everything here starts off. The name in brackets is the setting to ask your admin for.

Hjarðmaðr, the tamer steward

  • Build him: at the workbench. He lists every tame you own anywhere in the world, with name, kind, stars, health, distance and which way.Setting: Tamer steward
  • Server setting: off by default, so ask your admin. Thanks Zugrot.
  • Whose tame it is: tames you tame, breed or hatch while the steward is on are yours. Old tames become yours when you tell them to follow you.

Find your lost tames

  • Mark: the map opens right on that tame, or mark all the far ones at once. The marks clear when you walk up. Thanks _danielross.
  • Bring them home: the steward can send any tame to your pasture, even far ones.

Breeding

  • On or off for each kind: a button for every kind of tame you own, so you can stop your boars breeding and keep the wolves going.
  • Breeding caps: hosts set how many of each kind live together before they stop breeding, like Boar=10, Wolf=4, Lox=0. Empty to start, so nothing changes until it is set.Setting: Breeding caps

Pastures and work areas

  • Work area marker: a little post with a banner. Set it to pasture and your tames graze, eat and breed in its ring.Setting: Work area markers
  • Orders: a page in the radial menu for your companions and tames: follow, stay, guard here, go to a marker, ride, dismiss.Setting: Companion and tame commands

Tame feast and dung

  • Tame feast: the cauldron cooks a bowl that helps babies grow up, wild ones tame and grown tames breed a bit sooner. Breeding caps still count. Thanks duskrynn.
  • Dung: fed tames leave dung that rots if you leave it, and the cauldron turns it into pungent pebbles. Thanks duskrynn.
  • Labels: tame labels only show on the tame you look at, up to 10 m, with nothing in the way. The old 40 m is a setting.Setting: Tame labels from afar
  • The rest: what each tame eats, saddles, ropes and bloodlines are in the Tames guide.
